A $36M Proposal and New Taxes. Your Vote Decides.
Before You Vote, Know What You’re Approving
Why This Matters in South Hadley
The question for voters is not whether electricity is important, but whether South Hadley should move forward with a $36.5 million electric headquarters and additional tax overrides without full transparency. Residents are being asked to consider:
A proposed $36.5 million electric headquarters
Separate tax override questions of up to $11 million
Long-term financial commitments tied to these decisions
Before supporting this proposal, it’s critical to understand the full cost, the alternatives, and the risks involved. To protect your household budget, your utility costs, and the future of South Hadley, voters should reject the proposal and vote NO.
It’s not just a project. It’s your money.
This proposal commits South Hadley to a $36.5 million project despite significantly lower cost alternatives.
South Hadley residents will carry that cost for decades.
